GRAB BOX OF STUFF! Don't forget If you have something you would like to donate to the sweet grab box of stuff. Doesn't have to be disc golf related, just has to be cool. Last year I donated a plastic sled and a cheap top hat (not sure how cool either of those are, so maybe it doesn't have to be all that cool). This year I will be bringing a couple beat up discs from my collection of crap I don't throw anymore. Jason Posted: February-17-2012 9:16 pm |

Great Point Shagg, everyone bring a prize for the Grab Box! Also, we just received our 25th Pre-registration for the Fairmont Ice Bowl guaranteeing them a KC Roc Ice Bowl disc with their player pack. The good news is we still have plenty of Ice Bowl DX Rocs and Aviars left for the remaining players who register today or tomorrow. See you at the course tomorrow!! _________________ "CHING!" PLEASANT VALLEY -
The beautiful weather Saturday morning laid scene to the 8th annual Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament benefiting The Soup Opera in Fairmont. Competitors from all over traveled to Pleasant Valley to compete in the tournament. While the weather was good, it wouldn't have mattered if it hadn't been. The event was all about fun, competition, and giving back. "It's a great day to be outside," says Phillip Burton of the West Virginia Disc Golf Association. "It's exercise, it's a little friendly competition if you like. And it's just a great day to just promote disc golf and the soup opera." All proceeds from the event went directly to the Soup Opera, an organization that feeds those in need. Disc golf, like tradition golf plays by much of the same rules, however, competitors use a Frisbee-like disc and basket instead of a club, ball, and hole. Discus Stu has Ouzo for Twouzo!!
