The West Virginia Disc Golf Assoc. llc  will be hosting seasonal, 10 week PDGA leagues at the Seth Burton Memorial DG Complex and Dorsey's Knob starting in March. Each 10-week session will be a point series consisting of "A" and "B" level divisions playing a singles round of 18 holes. Cost per event is $2 with $1 going to the PDGA fee and $1 to your division pool. At the end of each series, the top half of each division will be paid out from their pool.

PDGA Leagues?

PDGA Leagues will allow players to earn PDGA ratings and PDGA tour points just like they would at PDGA Tournaments. Non-PDGA members are encouraged to participate in our leagues as we will be using a universal point system allowing all players the chance to win.

Work Days Reward:

We will incorporate a bonus league points or "extra credit" for players who volunteer at the club work days on the mornings of league play. Work Days begin at 9:00 am and end around noon. Players must participate for at least 3 hours to earn these bonus points.

Fairmont Format:

We will meet at the Pavilion by #1 at 1:30 PM each Saturday, sign up and split into groups then tee-off by 2:00 PM. Simply play your round, turn in the scorecard and you are done. This format will eliminate wait time at the end of your round. The TD will submit the scores to the PDGA web site after each league where they will be listed online for you to review.

*The WVDGA will pay out the top 3 places in each division with store credit. We are also graciously adding more value to each payout. Final league round is this Saturday and the store will be available for the awards ceremony after the round.

Format for this final round is a brutal Front 9 Yellow Long then Back 9 Orange Long.

League registration starts at 1:30 PM on Saturday and tee off is promptly at 2:00 PM

Final round of the WVDGA Saturday Singles was played today and a great time was had by all. The results and payouts are posted below. If you were not present to get your WVDGA Store Gift Certificate, please see Josh.

I want to thank everyone who played in this spring league and especially those who made it to some work days. We got a lot accomplished over the last 10 weeks including adding 4 more concrete tee pads to the course. Long Tee #14 at the Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Course received cement today and completes the course with 36 concrete tee pads.
