What: "Glow-in-the-Dark Concrete Tour"
When: Wednesday, October 18
Where: Knob Hill Disc Golf Course
Time: Tee time @ 7:15 pm
Entry: $5.00

Come out this Wednesday for a round of glow-in-the-dark disc golf at Knob Hill Community Park! This is the first of 4-5 glow events we will be hosting at Knob Hill this fall. We'll have the baskets illuminated with glow bracelets so you'll be able to see where you need to throw!

This is a fundraiser for the PFDS. The entry fee is $5 per person and the winner in each division will win back his entry fee! The remaining entry fees collected will be used toward the purchase of concrete tee pads at Moraine State Park and Knob Hill (blue tees). Please be advised there must be at least 3 players to make a division.

The weather is forecasted to be nice on Wednesday with an afternoon high of 65 degrees and the evening temps dropping only to the low 50's. If you've never played glow golf before, the conditions this Wednesday night will be perfect!

The park officially closes at 10:00 pm, but the township police have been known to close the gates early at the disc golf course parking lot. As a result, we will park in the lot near the lighted ball fields adjacent to holes 7 & 8. Be there or be scared...

p.s. LED lights can be purchased for less than $3 at several retailers such as Dick's Sporting Goods, Cabella's, and Dunhams. I've also seen these LED lights at Wal Mart, though not consistently. Look in the fishing department in the bobber section. The most famous brand is "Thill". These are the best lights to use as they are bright and will last over 20 hours (reusable).

Another option are the small, single-use glow sticks. These items can be found for cheap at many dollar stores as well at Wal Mart in the party supply aisle. Of course, one can always use a glow-in-the-dark golf disc!

p.s.s. REMINDER: We will be hosting a Halloween tournament on Tuesday, October 31. Mark your calendar and check the pfds.org web site for an upcoming announcement!
