Ideas for backyard games to improve putting? | |

I'm trying to work on my short game and putting. Have a backyard big enough to practice those in and was wondering if anyone knows of any games or something we could do to make the practice fun.
I saw somewhere a mention of playing something called "horse", what is that exactly?
Also, until we buy/make a backyard basket, any ideas for cheap targets? They don't have to be basket-like, just something more interesting than just aiming for tree trunks...

I have heard of people putting a post/broomstick in the ground and then putting a bucket upside-down on top and just aim for the bucket. Make sure the bucket is about 3-4 ft. so it mimics the sweetspot on a real basket. HORSE can be played with 2 or more people, first person steps up and shoots a put from anywhere they choose - if they make it then the opponent must repeat the same shot and make it. If they miss they get a letter - H. After you have 5 letters and spell horse you lose, simple! have fun! _________________ "CHING!" Posted: December-21-2006 10:55 pm |
