Like I've mentioned in the other posting....I'm in already too.  :-)  Expect a couple more mountaineers to be there once again...hopefully more than last year.

I played the course in Fairmont.  There is no course in Bowling Green compare to it.  I think if you can score good there you should really good down here.  thats my opinion

4 of those courses I've played last year as an Int, they're all different than each other & Fairmont's course.  I wouldn't say that any one of the were easy at all, except this Preston Miller course which had horrible tees that are natural and a bunch of roots exposed or sticking out.  It's one of these courses where I was able to get a fairly good number of birdies.  Can't  say the same for other courses and I'd be lucky to get a birdie or two at most.  But that was last year and I'm sure I can do better this year.  Too bad I'll be playing 4 completely different courses in Adv this year, but I've already played Lover's Lane twice and part of Kereiakes last year.  Lover's Lane is fun & am confident that I'll do well there.

Can't really say anything about the rest of the courses that I haven't played at.  Wouldn't go as far as saying that I'd do well down there if I can get good scores.  I have to remember that there's other 150-280 players to contend with and every single mistake or additional throw & OB penalty  that you make is magnified in this tourney.  If there's 15-20 other guys with identical scores to mine coming to the last basket and about 5 of us bogeyed while everyone else had either scored a birdie or a par, it 'd drop me at least a dozen spots.  Those mistakes suck and I'd want to play it smart this year and at least try to avoid as many mistakes as possible.

Here's how the northern West Virginian's faired:

Place|Points|Name    |RD1|RD2|RD3|RD4|TOPAR|FINAL
114  |JASON STALNAKER|56 |59 |60 |54 |+13  |229
146  |SHAWN ASCHLIMAN|55 |58 |55 |64 |+16  |232
216  |DAVE WILTSEY   |56 |62 |64 |56 |+22  |238
226  |ADAM KLIMAS    |60 |62 |60 |57 |+23  |239
234  |JOSHUA SMITH   |60 |61 |61 |58 |+24  |240
300  |CHRIS BOYER    |65 |60 |61 |66 |+36  |252
317  |JOHN BUCK      |72 |58 |62 |68 |+44  |260

I certainly hoped to do better than 300 =( but kinda let it go through the 4th round, next year I am taking the biggest brimmed hat I can. Sunburn took all my wind the second round.

A few things kind of irked me about the way the tourney was run.

1. No help in establishing rides, or any way (publicized) to change pools.
2. 7am start on Sunday, yet second round didn't start for pool D until 1:00. This made it about 4:45 until the last round completed.
3. I understand the reasoning behind re-scrabling the pools, but again, it really messes up schedules for those who have long ways to travel. (which is most of the field)
4. They are obviously going for quantity, not quality. If they can't get enough volunteers then the field needs to be capped IMHO.
5. I hate the full color disc print... Last year's was 1000% better. Wish they had given the skull one.
6. Their website sucks. It uses frames, the directions are either wrong, or has wrong road names/numbers. Their course maps are hand drawn in many cases.
7. White Park.... UGH...

A few things I liked:
1. Pre-listed the pools.
2. Players pack.
3. Water throughout the courses.
4. The lunch trailer at White was excellent, $2 for a pulled pork sandwich. MMMMMM.

As a consequence I will probably be driving my own car next year just to avoid the hassle.

Clang. Crap.

Don't forget about the rest of the int. !

174 ERIC RAMEY 32217 58 65 59 61 +27 243
180 ROSS SCHWEITZER 32296 63 59 62 60 +28 244
228 JUSTIN HARTSHORN 32518 68 69 64 61 +46 262
233 JULIAN POWELL 31821 67 72 66 61 +50 266

I agree with most of your points.  A few bad holes killed my scores.
