Spring Fling "Club Championships" - Saturday June 2nd, 2007 *Tournament Director needed for this event

West Virginia Disc Golf Classic - PDGA B-Tier event - Sept. 15th or Sept. 29th, 2007
Tournament Director - Phil Burton Assistant TD - Josh Smith

Financial Report - WVDGA - over $1500 plus merchandise

By-Laws - time to rewrite the by-laws and bag tag rules

Bag-Tags - commitees looking into new bag-tags to be reissued this summer

*Need some more volunteers to fill chair committee's

Tony Michalski and Phil Burton to approach Pleasant Valley Tow Council on 4-12-07 and ask for a $1,000.00 sponsorship to add to the pro-purse for the fall PDGA Tourney - could be called the "Pleasant Valley Disc Golf Classic" - need to put together a "What is disc golf" and "where to play doc's"

Need sponsors for course and tourney

- $400.00 permanent tee sign sponsors
- $50.00 tourney sponsor - name/business advertising on tee signs (day of) and on Tee-shirt
- $15 and $25 disc sponsorships available

*Johnny Sias will be at the course this upcoming Saturday for work day

2 tourneys this spring and summer - Non-PDGA tourney "The Spring Fling" and fall PDGA B-Tier (Josh Smith to TD the spring fling and Phil Burton to TD the fall tourney)

New 18 hole course in the works at Morris Park - Contacting Innova Matching Baskets program board member - J. Gary Dropcho

New Issue's of bag-tag and by-laws to be discussed at next meeting

  • Design a Tee-Shirt and Business card for the WVDGA

  • Special Tournament fundraiser discs ordered from Innova Disc Golf


  • Club members can access www.wvdiscgolf.net and have access to e-mail and the forums for better communication away from the course
  • Proposed adding $1,000 to the Open Purse and doing a full page ad in Disc Golf Magazine for $500
  • Proposed changing the fall tourney to the "Pleasant Valley Disc Golf Classic" if a sponsorship is received
  • New Bag Tags to be issued in the fall of this year
  • Need some sponors for the "Pleasant Valley Disc Golf Classic
  •  
  • Sponsor levels
  1. $400 Tee Sign Sponsor with 5 year business advertisement
  2. $50 Day-of-Tourney business advertisement
  3. $25 Player level sponsor includes a limited edition Champion Glow Golf Disc
  • Baskets on the way for the new course, 9 holes completed thus far.

  • United Way Corp. Cup Saturday, August 25th w/ Disc golf challenge at Morris Park ($20)
  • Pleasant Valley Disc Golf Classic - need volunteers for Saturday Sept. 15th, 2007
  • Pre-tourney doubles ($5.00) to be held Friday Sept. 14th, 2007 at 5:30 pm (Run by Shawn)
  • Work day Saturday August 11th to pour concrete tee-pads (if dry) need lots of help. Meet at course pavilion at 8:00 am
  • MCPARC website needs updated links to www.wvdiscgolf.net and www.sbdiscgolf.info
  • New Sign up near #1 long basket - Thanks Frankie! ~ Chris working on entrance sign to new course - Orange Crush!
