Format: 2 rounds of 18 holes of disc golf to help benefit the new course!
Registration 8:30 am - 9:30 am
Tee-Off at 9:45 am

* entry Fee: $20.00 includes a custom stamped golf disc
* special : $15.00 entry fee for all Women and Juniors (13 and under)
* Divisions: Open Men/Women, Advanced M/W, Intermediate M/W, Novice M/W and Juniors
* First 30 to pre-register will receive a Discraft Elite Z tourney stamped disc

Posts: 626 		Just announced, baskets are on the way for the new course, we will be installing 9 of the baskets for the new 18 hole course (located in the woods around the existing Fairmont course) soon.

This will affect the West Virginia Disc Golf Classic and most likely the June tourney "the WVDGA Club Championships. This means for we will be playing 2 rounds of 27 holes of disc golf!!

Posts: 626 		With the new 9 nearly here, the format for the WVDGA Club Championships will be 2 rounds of 18 in the listed formats:

  • 1 round of 18 at the Seth Burton Memorial Disc Course
  • 1 round of a blended 18 including the front 9 of the new course which links you to the back 9 of the Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Course

Super 8 has blocked off 10 rooms for a low rate of ~$47.00 for the Friday night prior to the tourney on June 16th. This hotel is new and only 1 exit away down I-79 to the disc golf course! Just mention "Disc Golf Tourney" when you call to get the rate.

Remember to bring in your bag tag! The lowest 5 bag tags will win a prize.

Also, we will be issuing out new "dog tag" style bag tags at the tourney for $5.00.

Posts: 2 		Thanks to the WVDGA for a great time this past Saturday. We had eight PFDS members representing Pittsburgh and I'm sure I speak for all of them when I say it was definitely worth the 90-minute drive. Morris Park is such a great place to play disc golf.....and it's only going to get better with the new 18 hole course!

By the way, I'm curious about the results and stats of this tournament. How much money did this event raise for the club? How many players showed up? Scores? Thanks, again....

    We had around 40 players, raised around $1,000.00 for the new course and I will post the results as soon as possible on the main page news.

Thanks again to everyone for coming including the Pittsburgh Flying Disc Society, Huntington Disc Golf Club, the WVDGA and the Mid Ohio Valley Disc Golf Club. Hope to see you all again real soon!
