11th Annual Huntington Ice Bowl 1/26/08

Same format as last year with fabulously cheap prizes (while they last) being gathered and sought for the prize box to be distributed in the "Overall" category. Thanks Shane for the Flashlight/Multi-tool gift sets at Doubles last night (9/19/07). Have also begun looking for fabulously cheap trophies (look out Dollar Store)! Some ideas how we individually might raise the bar: Seek sponsors (Wife/Husband/Mom/Dad/Boss/Neighbor/Buddy/Mistress/Local Watering Hole/Whomever) willing to contribute $ for your score (i.e. 5-cents, 10-cents per stroke) Bonus if you shoot under par. Raffle items and sell tickets to Wife/Mom/Dad/Etc... (you deliver if they win) Seek sponsors from where and from whom you do business (if National organizers don't put IB logo on the back we'll do corporate sponsors on T-shirt) Get logos if available from whom you sign on. (YO, FedEx, any possibilities with parent company?) Will sell Title sponsorship for $2,000 contribution!!!!) Smokers, buy one less pack of smokes per week until IB and donate the cash Beer Drinkers, set aside cash for a 12-pack per month until IB *what's the format for the Hunt. Ice Bowl? Registration 9 to 9:30. $20. Speechifying at 9:45ish assuming folks sign in on time and not at the last minute. Tee off ASAP after speechifying and check handing over rigamarole. spreadicus Posts: 626	The day-of count is complete. A record attendance was set with 61 entrants and 60 players competing at the 2008 Ice Bowl. After bills are paid we will have raised $2,500 on Saturday. Coupled with the IOR Mohawk Tribe #11 donation to HAFB our total will be $8,500!! This figure does not include a $200 pledge from the B'ville Moose Lodge that Terry is working toward. So I guess that total will jump to $8,700 in a couple of days. Thank you all for turning out, donating so generously, and hopefully having a good time with new and old friends. You guys are the ones who make this a success. The day-of count is complete. A record attendance was set with 61 entrants and 60 players competing at the 2008 Ice Bowl. After bills are paid we will have raised $2,500 on Saturday.
