The Marietta Disc Golf Association will be holding the 2008 Glow Throw Saturday, July 26th at the Big Buckeye Disc Golf Course.

The event will begin at 6pm with free clinics, food and music.
At dark, we will be lighting up the course for some night time disc golf fun.

We will be setting up a special short course for kids and beginners. Experienced players can play the big course.

The first 25 kids to play will receive a "players pack" containing a regulation glow in the dark frisbee golf disc as well as a free goft card courtesy of McDonald's .

Glow discs will also be available for purchase at the event for $10.

For anyone wishing to play the short course who doesn't own their own discs, we will have a few loaners on hand as well.

Trophies will be given in both Youth (under 12) and Open divisions.

The Youth division competition, as well as adults wishing to participate for fun will be completely free of charge.

The Open division competition will consist of a day round beginning at 6pm and a night round. The Fee for the Open division will be $15 and will include a glow disc. (while supplies last). If we run out of glow discs, the fee will be dropped to $8.

We will be able to outfit non-glow discs for night play as well thru the use of attached glow devices.

Due to popular request, the Open Division's day time round will be optional.

A lot of folks are either working or participating in another event earlier in the day, so only the night round will count.

Although..coming out during the day would allow you time to get a sneak peek at the new upper 9.

The baskets won't all be in place, but locations will be marked.

I've given Scott the option to use the new 9 in the MOV point series event on Sunday. Don't know if he's planning on using it, but he might...so a preview may help.
